Representatives of GM's Community Wheels program will be on hand at the Turpin Pontiac Buick dealership at 1666 Carling Ave. on Monday to donate the vehicles to local charities supported by the United Way.
GM launched its Community Wheels program nationally only last month after a pilot project in Edmonton with the local United Way chapter.
The Chevy Venture and the Pontiac Montana are the two models featured in the program.
As of Oct. 27, the United Way/Centraide Ottawa had collected $11.34 million for its fall campaign, about 45 per cent of the target of $25.2 million.
